True Colours is a vibrant celebration of local artists, and the powerful role colour plays in our lives. Bringing together a diverse collection of fine art, the exhibition explores how artists use colour to express mood, emotion, memory and imagination.
Visitors are invited to experience colour in different ways as they move through the exhibition, from the calm and serenity of cool blues and greens to the warmth, energy and joy of reds, oranges and yellows. Deeper and unexpected tones invite reflection, while playful combinations challenge the eye and spark curiosity.
More than simply an exhibition about colour, True Colours encourages visitors to pause, look closely and consider their own emotional response to what they see. After all, colour is personal — what brings joy to one person may evoke a treasured memory in another.
